NELA BioDynamics has recently submitted for approval the third patent in its portfolio with number P202230139 at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

This patent is based on a new instrument for high-precision milling of the geometry of the femoral neck in primary and revision hip surgeries, eliminating the need to impact rasps.

Based on a 4-bar guided mechanism, the instrument copy into the bone the geometry previously defined by the machining guide. In this way, the traumatic damage inflicted on the bone is drastically reduced, increasing the safety of the intervention and giving the surgeon greater control over anteversion.

Combining this patent with our patented implant (US-10568670-B2 & EP-3476320-B2), we have developed a safer, faster and more precise implantation process, which eliminates fixation by impacts or using bone cement.
